Education and BIO

Education
I graduated from Riverside High School in Basin, Wyoming, in 1992. I have enjoyed my education and my love for learning is something that I value and try hard to model for both my students and my three children. My undergraduate degree is from Brigham Young University. While at BYU I studied Health Education and Special Education. I earned my Bachelor of Science Degree from BYU in 1996. In 2012, I graduated with a Master's Degree in Special Education from Grand Canyon University. I continue to pursue education by taking classes when offered in teaching, reading, or Special Education.

Experience
I have had experience working with a variety of students who have disabilities. I love teaching and learning something new each and every day! I love working with children who have special needs! My first job teaching was in Utah at Lakeridge Junior High School in Orem, Utah. This was in 1996-1997. I returned to Wyoming and Mr. Ralph Winland offered me a job as a Special Education Teacher at the middle school/high school. After teaching for almost 9 years at the middle school, I ventured to Green River, Wyoming, where I was able to teach as both a resource teacher and a life skills teacher. In 2013, I was hired to teach back in Lovell, Wyoming, at LES.

Bio
I was born and raised in this great state of Wyoming! I was born in Riverton and raised in Basin. I have a great love for family and especially for my three children! I left the Big Horn Basin in 1992 after graduating from high school. I returned back to Wyoming after college and teaching one year in Utah in 1997. I currently live in Lovell, Wyoming. I have three wonderful children that I am so proud of. They are my biggest accomplishment in life. I have two boys, Jeron and Jace, a beautiful daughter, Jaya, and a beautiful daughter in-law, Hannah.
I have many interests, but currently, I love spending time with my children who all live in Laramie. I also love to read, attend family events, participate in church, serve in the YW organization, and ride horses. My great-grandparents and grandmother lived in Cowley before moving to Basin, where my Great-Grandfather was the sheriff of Big Horn County. I am fortunate to be giving back to a great school in Big Horn County!
We are all proud to live and be able to send both our children and students to the University of Wyoming and Junior Colleges around the state.
