I graduated from Rocky Mountain High School. I earned my Associate's Degree from Northwest College and Bachelor's from the University of Wyoming in 2005. I student taught 5th grade in Lovell under the direction of Ann Hinckley. I loved what was happening at Lovell Elementary and knew that was where I wanted to teach. A fourth grade position opened up, and I started teaching 4th grade in August of 2005. I am currently working on my Masters in Special Education from the University of Wyoming. In 2016, I transferred to Special Education at LES.
I completed practicums at the Kindergarten, Third, and Fourth Grade levels. I student taught 5th grade, and I have been teaching 4th grade since 2005. I also teach 4th grade Math and Reading Tutoring and have taught summer school.
I decided in 4th grade that I wanted to be a teacher. Throughout my schooling, I found myself in tutoring/mentoring positions. I loved every minute of helping others learn. My favorite teaching moment was in high school when I was able to teach in the elementary schools through a mentoring program.
I entered college immediately after high school and began my teaching career 4 years later. I love teaching and learning. My goal as a teacher is to instill the love of learning in my students. I am married to David and have 4 children. Ethan is 14, Taylor is 12, Jenna is 6, and Leah is 1. We live in Byron. We enjoy riding 4 wheelers and motorbikes, camping, and anything outdoors.
I am so happy to be part of Lovell Elementary.
